I don't really know why, I have a solid PC (Ryzen 3700x and 32 gb of ram and a 2070 super) and the playback was perfectly smooth on Premiere. Which I'm still working on my basic understanding but nonetheless I love it and I decided to ditch Premiere for now and make a video on the free version. So I gave the free version a try and I absolutely love it, the node system is wonderful and it just feels so much more intuitive than Premiere once you get a basic understanding. I have used Premiere Pro (cracked version) for the longest time and kept hearing great things about DaVinci Resolve.
